On the contrary i found that to be very interesting! I've actually watched youtube video's of them levitating a frog with a crazy strong magnet. I think they also levitated water.

It was pretty cool...i wonder what the frog was thinking when it was floating....:D

I can't remember where the discussion about Chidori and Rasengan was, so I'm posting this here. I finally got around to reading the later chapters of Naruto and I discovered that Kakashi knows the Rasengan. This makes his use of Chidori seem borderline insane, as the Rasengan has tons of advantages (it's seal-less, has no charge time, has lethal and nonlethal forms, and Jiraiya demonstrated that it has a giant form that's hard to dodge).
The only real advantages to Chidori as Kakashi uses it are that it has an elemental flavor (since I am forced to accept that it's lightning, despite the fact lightning does not make large round craters) and it is implied to drag the target forward at high speed (which means Sasuke's speed training might have been partly to allow him to keep his feet when that happened).
Elemental flavor is useful sometimes but a hindrance others thanks to the rock-paper-scissors elements of Naruto. Although, lightning does beat earth and Kakashi invented it in a war with Stone, so that also bears thought.
Being dragged into striking range at incredible speed is actually pretty handy for a melee style attack, though. Since most of it's charge time is silent, I suspect the Chidori is a very useful ambush tactic, since you could do the seals in hiding (perhaps underground, since Kakashi likes that trick) and then slam into your foe at high speed before he figures out where the sound is coming from (perhaps before he hears it if you strike through a wall or the ground).
As to how that works, since the Chidori is not some type of kinetic force, my theory is that it is a railgun technique, ie it uses electromagnetism to accelerate an object (the user) to high speeds. Now, a lot of series will try to tell you magnetism is only good against metal but that's woefully inaccurate. Ferromagnetism is simply the strongest and best known form of magnetism (and works only on certain metals). Water (which living things consist mostly of) is diamagnetic. This weak magnetic reaction can still be manipulated with powerful enough magnetic fields. Scientists have, for example, magnetically levitated frogs (why they did that, I can't say, except that scientists get pretty wacky when left to their own devices). Google diamagnetic levitation if it interests you.

Well, hopefully that was more enlightening than mind-numbingly boring, since I do have a tendency to pontificate.

Tilting his head, the ANBU hummed thoughtfully.

“You sha re the same ‘unique’ of sense (sense of) humor,” he decided.

“I was also told that she’d experienced some mental contamination, and was exhibiting signs of sadism, heightened aggression and emotional instability.”

I remember seeing the mistake a while back but i forgot about it...i always enjoy rereading this story when i'm bored :D. I always try to see any hints on how her new jutsu works.

(re-reading)

"This was already shaping up to be another
_beautiful_ day on planet Sakura (population: at least three)."
I love this sentence. It's one of my favorite quotes.

"A worried frown creased Hinata’s brow, and Sakura gave her friend a half-hearted
grin. “If you’re a ninja, getting Grandpa to do _anything_ for you is like
trying to make Manda-sama dance,” she joked.
“That doesn’t sound good,” the pale girl noted unhappily.
“Eh, it can be done,” Sakura assured her with a chuckle. “But he usually eats
you afterward.”
Hinata grimaced. “That sounds even worse.”
Laughing out loud, Sakura reached across the table to snag a seaweed-wrapped
cracker. “Yeah, I guess so,” she agreed"
This one is also a winner.

Have to admit that I'm very curious as to what Sakura’s (sealed) record says. Was it sealed before (due to some sensitive family info or similar) or only after the Suiren storyline, due to the glorious mess she's made (kinjutsu, role in the Sand-invasion, ANBU 'contact' etc.)?

Sakura just seems to me a little too sensitive to the subject family for it to be due only to the story surrounding her conceivement. Can one hope for some family secrets or is he just overreacting (as she berates herself)?

Also is the reason why Sakura being so adamant denying the possibility of inheriting a title only due to her being a 'bastard'/illegimate heir, her grandmothers view/dislike of her or is something more?

If pink hair is something typical/hereditary on her fathers side of the family it's kind of strange that not more people has questioned her parentage. It's not exactly the most common of hair colorations, maybe even unique for one family and I (as Sakura did) will wonder where it stems from (I mean pink, really). Since her grandfather has black hair it probably comes from her grandmothers family and that family is nobility right? Noble family known for having pink hair, somebody ought to have made the connection. I doubt her grandmother appreciated Sakura (being a 'bastard') inheriting such a clear sign of her bloodline. Plus, the last name.

Will we meet her uncles (on her father's side)?

“Just one question before I answer that: What’s in it for me?”
I wonder what came after that sentence?

So many questions and they keep multiplying.

Hmm, hope Sakura will become a better liar/bluffer, she seems to have a better handle of it canon, if my memory serves me correct. (Though I have to say that I DESPISE her recent portrayal in canon. Will stop there or rant and spoilers will ensue).

It'd be real interesting/funny to see what the training session(s?) with Yoshinari entails. Ought to make a Suiren Gaiden with it. Would also love to see what Kurenai manages to dig up about Sakura. She doesn't seem like the type to let whatever questions she have lie, not without having exhausted every possible source at least. She is/was a spy after all.

Hoping for updates. :)

Its hard to say as not much has been revealed of them in the canon-verse. Although since they only exist within one country, as opposed to running parrellel to ninja as an alternative military force as they do in Suiren, then I can only assume that Kishimoto has blessed either them or their land with some special qualities that discourage the neighbouring ninja villages from invading.

The manga is taking a break next week but I reckon by the week after that we should see a little of what powers they have(n't). Until we see enough of Suiren samurai that we're able to make a proper comparison, will probably be bit longer though.

And how similar are they too are hypothetical samurai here (or do we need to see more of Suiren samurai to even compare)?

I bring news (for those who doesn't already know).

Thought as much as I dislike the recent Naruto chapter and stopped reading them quite some weeks back I finally manned myself up and read them, and guess what 'SPOILER WARNING' in ch 456 samurai's appear in the canon-verse.
